Sloane Alexandra was born Wednesday March 24th at 1:36 pm. She is finally here and we are in love with this child. She is the most perfect thing I think God has ever created. Maybe we are a little bias but more than anything we are extremely blessed to be given this healthy baby girl. Child birth is an experience. I was very scared and God took care of me and Sloane and we are doing so well. Jeremy is such a good daddy to her and they are a match made in heaven. We stayed in the hospital 2 nights and got home yesterday afternoon. The hospital stay was good (all things considered) but we were very ready to get home with our baby girl. My mom has been here since Friday afternoon and last night I finally got some sleep. I was up for 3 days. Not because of the baby, Jeremy and I took turns sleeping but when it was my turn to sleep I just could not sleep. I am too happy and excited to sleep. As things settle down I have been able to rest a little more. Sloane had her first doctors visit today. She had Jondis. :( All babies get it a little, but her levels are elevated so we go back tomorrow and Monday to monitor it. Its not anything to get too worried about but its really sad for her to get her heel stuck every day for 5 days. She is such a good girl and she is being tough. Tonight she had her first bath at home in her tub (sponge bath). She screamed the whole time. She doesnt like to be messed with at all. She just enjoys being cuddled and loved on. Breast feeding is going well other than she likes to just fall asleep while she is eating so Jeremy helps me keep her awake and he is very good at burping her. We make a great team.
